Hieu Le (Chair) 2022 - 2024

Hieu Le is 27 years old and is the youngest founder of his Esports Nonprofit, the Nevada Esports Education League. His Esports nonprofit is the only Nevada nonprofit that gives yearly Esports scholarships and has given over $1500 in Valorant, League of Legends, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The nonprofit has been known to host the first-ever anti-sexual harassment workshops for tournament organizers, fundraise over $8000 in online Twitch streaming for COVID-19 and mental health, volunteer at notable  Esports Awards and lvlup expo, and receive media credentials for CES, Riot Games, and Evo. Hieu has also founded two other nonprofits which are the Vietnamese American Community of Las Vegas and the Youth Voice of Nevada. 



Candace Boring (Vice Chair) 2022 - 2024

Candace Boring is a dedicated community builder and UNLV Graduate. In her work with the city of Las Vegas, Department of Youth Development and Social Initiatives, she has overseen the successful execution of 652 projects through the Youth Neighborhood Association Partnership Program (YNAPP) Grant. This impressive endeavor involved a significant investment of $605,063 from the city of Las Vegas, matched by volunteer and in-kind services totaling more than $5,660,655.


With a strong focus on Workforce Development, Candace manages, maintains, and builds dynamic programming for the COX Innovation Lab at the Strong Future Technology Training Center located on the Historic Westside School Campus, attracting more than 7,000 attendees in just three years. Candace is skilled at collecting and analyzing demographic and statistical data to drive program improvements and spearheading community outreach strategies for the training center and YNAPP.


Candace serves as a representative of the city of Las Vegas Department of Youth Development and Social Initiatives on the Nevada Esports Education League Board of Directors as Vice Chair of the Board, playing a crucial role in shaping the future of Esports education in the community.

Lukas Eggen 2022 - 2024

Lukas Eggen is an award-winning reporter and podcaster for the Las Vegas Review-Journal. He co-founded LAN Parties: A Video Gaming and Esports Podcast with Ryan Smith and was selected to participate in the 2020 Game Awards Future Class.

LAN Parties is also the proud recipient of the 2022 Tempest Awards for Best Podcast.

Eric Summit 2023-2025

Logan Summit, also known as LoganRadioRocks, is a highly accomplished professional in the field of broadcasting and media. Having been a former ESPN on air personality & producer  Logan has developed a reputation for his captivating radio personality and engaging content.


 Through his extensive experience in radio hosting and production, Logan has provided his audience with top-notch entertainment, showcasing his expertise in conducting interviews, and engaging listeners. 


With a charismatic on-air presence, Logan Summit brings a vibrant energy to the world of broadcasting. 


Currently, he is a professional broadcaster for NBA2K play-by-play,and executive producer at next talent league. 



Xchel Monroy 2023 - 2025

Xchel Monroy is a highly experienced professional in the gaming industry, having 15 years in experience. She started as a Quality Assurance (QA) tester, Xchel has worked diligently to make a name for herself and ascend through the ranks. Her expertise and knowledge have allowed her to gain valuable experience in various aspects of the industry, including retail.


Throughout her career, she has had a keen understanding of the importance of conducting oneself professionally in a business environment. As a mentor and guide, she focuses on teaching students the indispensable skills required to succeed in the gaming industry. Xchel emphasizes the significance of maintaining professionalism and integrity in all interactions.


Recognizing the power of networking in the gaming and esports industry. It has helped create and built a strong and diverse network over the years. By drawing on her experience in QA, retail, marketing and public relations; her emphasis on professionalism and networking, has proven to be a valuable resource for students aspiring to succeed in the gaming industry. 

Salvador Villa 2022 - 2024

Salvador Villa, Co-founder of Storm Rush Gaming esports team in Las Vegas, NV. He is a highly skilled and dedicated professional in the competitive gaming scene. Known for his exceptional community charity events and tournaments. .


Salvador, along with his team. Have made a significant impact on the team's success. With a strong passion for esports and gaming, Salvador continuously demonstrates his commitment to esports. 


Jay Jackson 2022 - 2024

Jay Jackson is a passionate esports enthusiast who has been organizing gaming gatherings since the early 90s, starting from the iconic days of Street Fighter 2. His deep-rooted connections and friendships have flourished through the shared love of gaming.


For the past 14 years, Jay has proudly owned and operated WegoGamez, a Game Truck in Las Vegas, where he has brought joy and excitement to countless gamers. Additionally, he has taken the stage as the host of Rock Band Karaoke on the vibrant Las Vegas Strip. Whenever possible, he actively contributes to the esports community in Las Vegas, offering his assistance and support.


Currently, Jay serves as an esteemed Instructor in the Computing Information Technology department at the College of Southern Nevada. Moreover, he holds the crucial role of the primary advisor for the CSN gaming club, nurturing and guiding aspiring gamers. In his leisure time, Jay cherishes moments spent gaming with his family and lends his expertise as an IT consultant for various Las Vegas companies.

Kevin Forsstorm 2022 - 2024

Kevin Forsstrom Director of Esports for the HyperX Arena and Allied Esports, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. He has been a community leader for Nevada Esports for 3 years and has built up multiple gaming communities in Las Vegas. 

David Liggins 2023 - 2025

David, a seasoned gaming and esports professional, boasts 10 years of industry experience. His impressive journey includes working on multiple tournaments and events featuring popular titles like Halo, Fortnite, Call of Duty, and Street Fighter. David’s collaboration with major global brands such as Activision-Blizzard, Xbox, and Finalmouse has left a lasting impact. As the Esports Director at PayDay.GG, he played a crucial role in creating the Semester Series, a four-month event in 2017. This innovative initiative engaged high school students in Overwatch and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive leagues, where they competed for $2500 in scholarships. David’s commitment to fostering talent and promoting esports education shines through. Whether online or in-person, David eagerly volunteers his time whenever needed. As a key member of the Las Vegas Inferno, he ensured flawless event execution, ensuring that every guest felt welcomed and well-served. Currently, David contributes his expertise to Warner Bros Discovery as a Digital Live Events Operator. His role involves bringing customers their favorite sports games and daily talk shows, enhancing their entertainment experience. Beyond his professional endeavors, David finds solace in music, gaming, and reading. His dedication to the esports community continues to shape the world of gaming and entertainment.
